90s Teen Horrors


Okay don't even think about judging me! Yes I agree some high school horrors are atrocious and poorly produced but I wont here you criticise these classics. There's something about these movies... The attractive cast, that in my opinion can genuinely act because talent actually mattered in the 90s, unlike certain casts I won't mention these days. And back in these days, the decent story line with the unexpected killer actually surprised and entertained us, however I can't say the same for movies released in the past 5 years. The story line is over done and they try to complicate the twist so much that everyone just expects it. So I guess you could say they under-complicate things by over-complicating them? Anyway, I grew up with these horror movies, which I probably shouldn't have done because the age certificate for these movies is '18' and I only just turned 18 last month... I won't tell if you don't! I could literally watch them over and over again and they truly continue to entertain me. No need for a big-boobed blonde bouncing around in the foreground and no need for an overly gruesome killing which involves guts and gore sprayed all over the camera... just a puddle of blood will do guys! Also they do have the odd subtle moment of comedy! Which I absolutely love, because it blends in with the scene and doesn't stand out like a big block of cheese...y comedy in some cringe-worthy blockbuster. All in all I just wanted to spread my love for these movies... So why not go on  www.amazon.com or visit your nearest HMV, by them on DVD and time travel back to the 90s for the night? Maybe grab a glass of Sunny D and a bag of Rainbow Drops to chomp on!
