My unsuccessful night

Okay, so when my Mother first suggested a night out in The Trawl (pub/restaurant) to see a Coldplay tribute band, naturally I was excited. I assumed it would be a nice night of me, my mum and my cousin enjoying a decent meal while listening to the music. I was mistaken. Apparently it meant us three stood at the bar being smooshed by a crowd of unattractive drunks. No tables free and having to order chips and onion rings at the bar, which I didn't eat as I'm not ruining my diet! Okay so I'm complaining like an old woman, maybe if I wasn't so tired and I was out with friends I would have had a much better time. But I was not in the mood to drink and I wasn't aware of the fact that my mum and cousin's main goal of the night was to get absolutely hammered and 'get on it like a car bonnet' as my mum said at least four times. It's terrible I know, I cringed every time she said it. Literally within two minutes of being there I turned around to see my Mum on her second bottle of Smirnoff Ice, typical 40 year old. So by 8:15 I was ready to call a taxi and be on my way home, it may sound sad but I was glad to be home sat in front of the fire with my dogs, eating a slice of extremely burned toast... Just the way I like it! :)
