On the Road


Hold on to your seats! The amazing modern classic ‘On the Road’ by Jack Kerouac (and personally my favourite book) has finally been turned into a highly anticipated blockbuster. Only so many days after the release of the trailer and it has got millions of people around the world buzzing about it.

If you have never read of even heard of the story…Shame on you! But don’t worry, I’ll fill you in. Beginning in the winter of 1947, the story takes you through the journey of a young writer named Sal Paradise and his friends Dean, Marylou and just many, many more dazzling people. The journey consists of travelling back and forth through America, exploring their sexuality and twisting to some jazz tunes.

The trailer shows the cast soaring about with intense emotions and trying to keep it together on the lonely roads of America. Picture a bunch of attractive young adults in some of the most life changing, beautiful cities in the world; I can think of a few things they’re going to get up to! So sit back and watch them take the journey of a life time.

Expect to see some well know faces, including Garrett Hedlund (Tron), Sam Riley (Control), Kristen Stewart (Twilight), Amy Adams (Enchanted), Tom Sturridge (The Boat That Rocked) with Kristen Dunst (Spider-Man) and Viggo Mortensen (Lord of the Rings). I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see the emotions and drama that this cast will bring to the table.

The film is released on the 21st of September. Yes it’s a long wait and it pains me, but until then, I suggest we all just watch the trailer over and over!
